“Cancer Conversations with Margaret Potter” begins at noon with the “Pinked Out Picture” photo opportunity. Breast cancer survivors and supporters of breast cancer research will gather on the Atwood Porch for a group photo. Pink apparel is encouraged. Pink boas are fabulously optional.

Potter’s presentation, Q & A and story-sharing time will follow in the Alumni Room.

Kim Orn ’82 will provide information about American Cancer Society fundraising for breast cancer research and programs. She is senior market manager for community engagement at the society’s St. Cloud area office.

Orn will also talk about Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Central Minnesota, the lead sponsor of the Oct. 15 fundraising walk. View the other sponsors.

The society’s 2015 breast cancer estimates: 231,840 new cases of invasive breast cancer and 40,290 deaths.

Since 1993, more than 12 million walkers across the United States have raised more than $750 million to help fight breast cancer through Making Strides events. In 2015 alone, 1.4 million walkers across the country raised more than $60 million to help finish the fight against breast cancer.
