Retired music teacher and St. Cloud State University graduate John Herdan ’69 returns to campus to spend a day with student and staff of the Husky Sports Band as their guest clinician Sept. 27.
“John knows what he is doing and getting an outside opinion from a veteran band director is just what the Husky Sports Band needs early in the season,” said Glen Tuomaala, director of the Husky Sports Band.
Herdan previously taught at Cathedral High School in St. Cloud, Marietta, Granite Falls, Alexandria, Battle Lake and Holdingford music programs. He has been a music judge in Minnesota for more than 36 years. Herdan will watch and listen to the Husky Sports Band during rehearsal to provide feedback on how they may continue to improve.
