Children in costume and their families are invited to a “Halloween Spooktacular” concert 6:30 p.m. Oct. 27 in Ritsche Auditorium, Stewart Hall.

Performing will be the Wind Ensemble and Campus Band. Conducting will be Catharine Bushman, assistant professor of music.

Pre-concert activities begin at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby. Volunteers will demonstrate musical instruments, give out Halloween treats and play games.

The children’s portion of the concert, which is about 30 minutes, will include music by pop artist Adele, selections from video games and Disney movie music.

After a brief intermission, the Wind Ensemble will perform selections from its upcoming tour, including H. Owen Reed’s “La Fiesta Mexicana” and the “Second Suite in F” by Gustav Holst.

Wind Ensemble is a select group of 40 musicians. Campus Band is about 40 musicians from campus and the St. Cloud area.
