St. Cloud Times — The number of sexual assaults reported to St. Cloud State University officials increased nearly five-fold from 2014 to 2015, according to the most recent campus public safety report.
The university, in its annual public safety report, said that there were 19 incidents of sexual assault reported to the institution in calendar year 2015. That’s up from four reported in 2014. Fourteen of those assaults were reported to have happened on campus, according to the report, up from two the previous year.
In six of the cases that went through the university’s disciplinary process, a perpetrator was found responsible for the sexual assault. In 12 cases, there was no resolution from the university’s disciplinary process because the alleged victim chose not to participate in the process. The university was aware of four cases in which the alleged victim reported the incident to law enforcement.
