Students rebuild snowmobile for nat’l competition

AM 1240 WJON — St. Cloud State engineering students are creating a quiet snowmobile with reduced emissions.

The six-person team, called Slick Cylinders, is redesigning the engine of a 2015 Polaris Rush snowmobile for the National SAE Clean Snowmobile Challenge March 6-11 in Houghton, Michigan.

Team members are Heather VanSlyke (Zimmerman), Gene Studniski (Milaca), Travis G. Meyer (Lakeville), Jim Wicklund (Roseville), Jacob Harper (Sartell) and Dan Kezar (Forest Lake).
