St. Cloud State faculty and staff are gathering in a discussion on anti-bias strategies and experiences this semester.
Led by the Diversity Advisory Council, #StandUpSCSU is a series of interactive discussion sessions looking at anti-bias strategies and experiences on campus for students, faculty and staff.
The first event is 3:30-5 p.m. Jan. 17 in the Cascade Room in the Atwood Memorial Center. The event is open to all faculty and staff.
The event will open with a welcome and introduction to the #StandUpSCSU discussion series by Interim President Ashish Vaidya.
The discussion will focus on strategies for addressing bias in classrooms, departments, staff meetings and in broader experiences on campus and in the community. It will include ways faculty and staff can be can be an effective ally with communities who may feel marginalized.
The next discussion will be with students.
