KNSI — More than 1,500 St. Cloud State University graduates were sent into the world at the university’s Spring Commencement on Friday.
Emma Konopasek (pictured), a forward on the women’s basketball team, delivered the student address, saying Millennials get a bad rap.
“We are anything but lazy. We are people who commute over and over to attend classes, and then turn around and work for hours afterwards.”
St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis, a 1989 SCSU graduate, quoted Dr. Seuss in his speech to the graduates.
“You have brains in your head, you have feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you chose, you’re on your own, you know what you know, you decide where you’re gonna go.”
