St. Cloud State University’s Medical Technology (MedTech) graduate program celebrated its 10 year anniversary June 6 at St. Cloud State at Plymouth with students, alumni and current and former faculty.
“St. Cloud State is making a positive, long-term impact on the lives of our students and community,” said Program Director Cathy Krier on hitting the milestone.
About 50 people attended the celebration with the unveiling of the St. Cloud State Foundation MedTech Graduate Program designation, an opportunity for the community, alumni and friends to be able to help St. Cloud State invest in the success of the MedTech program through monetary support.
The funds will be used for scholarships and promoting program growth.
“Our graduates are well prepared working professionals and leaders who remain actively connected with our University,” Krier said.
Chuck Swanson, former St. Cloud State Regulatory Affairs and Services master’s program director, credits industry support partly for the success of the program through its 10 years.
“Instructors are industry experts who give their time to teach and that industry looks to our students and graduates for skilled professionals,” he said.
Moving forward for the future of the program, Krier sees program growth in two ways.
“By the way of full-time path domestic and international students and through partnerships with the industry and other universities,” Krier said.
