FARIBAULT DAILY NEWS – On Wednesday morning a Spanish-speaking adult walked through the doors of Jefferson Elementary and was greeted by an energetic, Spanish-speaking principal, the school’s new principal: Yesica Louis.

From there, Louis set her sights on higher education, attending St. Cloud State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Spanish and human relations. Despite receiving a non-teaching degree, Louis returned to Faribault after graduation and accepted an English as a second language paraprofessional position at Faribault Middle.
