Professor Roya Akhavan has collaborated on “The Struggle for Justice”, a documentary that strives to promote a more peaceful world.
The 15-minute documentary seeks to empower the viewer to work to eliminate all forms of prejudice and build a more just and peaceful world.
Akhavan made the video in collaboration with the multimedia company PBMS during a one-month externship in July 2017 in the Washington D.C. area. The documentary reflects the historical approach taken in Akhavan’s recent book “Peace for Our Planet: A New Approach” from Calumet Editions. The documentary was made possible by a Hubbard Foundation Grant awarded by the College of Liberal Arts.
Akhavan is a professor of mass communications at St. Cloud State and is the director of the Mass Communications – Strategic Media Communications graduate program.
What a well written and wonderfully executed documentary. As I was watching it, I was already thinking about proudly sharing it with my colleagues, to present in their classes at the university where I teach.
