ST. CLOUD TIMES — This year, the St. Cloud Times is taking a closer look at good-paying science, technology, engineering and mathematics-related careers experiencing rising demand in the St. Cloud area. It’s part of the project called Spark: Igniting Your Future.
This month we are focused on careers in cybersecurity and computer user support.
We sat down with Tirthankar Ghosh, a professor of computer science and information technology at St. Cloud State University. He developed the university’s cybersecurity program — the only undergraduate cybersecurity program in the Minnesota State university system. He also shared tips for turning a two-year degree in computer sciences into a four-year degree, as well as advice for climbing the industry ladder with on-the-job training.
