St. Cloud State University is honoring the 2018 Student Organization Awards during an award ceremony March 28.
The recipients are chosen through a selection process that involves applications submitted by themselves or from other organizations or people. The applications then go through a group of judges comprised of faculty, staff and students.
“We have had some form of the Student Organization Awards for over 10 years,” said Sami Bosacki, assistant director of student organizations. “The event has changed a little every year but we try to find a way to reward and recognize our student organizations for their outstanding work.”
The award ceremony is March 28 with a social hour from 5:30-6 p.m., and the awards will be handed out immediately following the social hour.
“This event is a really great way to recognize all the hard work that our student organizations do throughout the year,” Bosacki said. “We invite all the administration, deans and leadership from across campus to help celebrate their great work. We invite all student organizations that receive an award as well as all those that were nominated.”
