Join St. Cloud State’s theatre department for a chuckle as they present The Good Doctor April 19-22.
The play version of The Good Doctor, written by Neil Simon, consists from a mashup of the hysterical short stories written by Anton Chekhov. It is as if the cartoons in The New Yorker and the articles in The Onion had a child. The protagonists of the play are fools and eccentrics who continuously get themselves into ridiculous and sometimes grotesque situations. The show maintains the undertone of Russian blues with side-splitting comedy that is trademark of Chekhov’s work.
Performances for the show are at 7:30 p.m. April 19-21 and a matinee at 2 p.m. April 22.
Parking is available in the 4th Ave Parking Ramp (516 4th Ave. So.) for $1.50/hour.
General admission tickets for $10 for adults, $7 for students or free with a St. Cloud State ID. Tickets are available at scsutickets.com, Atwood Center or at the door 30 minutes before the show opens.
