ST. CLOUD TIMES — Catching up on the local news between classes Thursday morning, John D. Baker found himself at a loss.
The St. Cloud State University criminal justice studies professor’s disappointment followed an unprecedented press conference held by Stearns County Sheriff Don Gudmundson, which presented key points of the investigation into the abduction of Jacob Wetterling preceding the release of thousands of pages of documents relevant to the case.
The press conference ended with an impromptu, emotional appearance by former FBI investigator Al Garber, a key player in the bulk of the Wetterling investigation.
