Wayzata swears in new police officer, continues to honor a fallen one

SUN SAILOR — Wayzata has officially sworn in its newest police officer.

City Manager Jeffrey Dahl administered the oath of office to Officer Corinn Jimenez during the Feb. 19 city council meeting.

Police Chief Mike Risvold then offered some background on Jimenez, detailing her five and a half years with the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office, where she worked as a patrol deputy, investigator, school resource officer and in court security.

Jimenez earned a master’s degree in criminal justice from St. Cloud State University and speaks fluent Spanish.
