ST. CLOUD TIMES — When the offer came Tuesday night, Brent Petermeier’s answer was direct and immediate: Yes, he wants to be St. Cloud Tech’s boys basketball coach.
“It’s something I very much wanted to do,” Petermeier said.
He replaces Mike Trewick, who resigned after 10 seasons, including last year’s 7-20 team that finished seventh in the Central Lakes Conference with a 6-10 record.

Petermeier works at Madison Elementary School in St. Cloud as a behavioral specialist and is finishing work toward a bachelor’s degree in elementary education at St. Cloud State.
