ST. CLOUD TIMES — Factotum is a fancy word I first encountered while watching the 2003 comedy “School of Rock.” In the movie, a nerdy young girl blurted out that the new substitute teacher acted like a factotum. As a semanticist, my ears popped up and my first move was to check out the word’s meaning. To wit: Factotum means an employee who or official having many different duties and responsibilities.
For Wapicada GC, 49-year-old Jason Rieder ’93 fits the word to a tee. Rieder graduated from Sauk Rapids High School in 1988, continued his education locally and graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1993 with a management degree.
