ABC 6 NEWS – Dodge County had some special visitors on Wednesday afternoon.
The St. Cloud State Women’s Ice Hockey team stopped in Kasson to practice as they are on their way to Missouri. The team is slated to face Lindenwood University in a two-game series beginning Friday, but their stop on Wednesday for practice was motivated by one of the team’s seniors.
Forward Dana Rasmussen, who is also a former Dodge County Wildcat, got to skate on her home ice and show her team where it all started.
“This is a chance to get back on [Dana’s] home ice, show what Kasson is about – big metro AA hockey -show where her grassroots are, and get that appreciation,” Wildcats Head Coach Jeremy Gunderson said.
