St. Cloud State University faculty and Stearns County Public Health staff teamed up on a pop-up seminar Thursday, Feb. 6. The topic: coronavirus.

Panelists included:

Professor Mikhail “Misha” Blinnikov, Biogeography
Dr. Brent Nielsen, SCSU Medical Director
Ms. Sally Sands, Stearns County Public Health Coordinator with a focus on emergency preparedness
Ms. Jill Ruder, Stearns County Public Health Nurse with a focus on infectious disease

The seminar explored how the coronavirus is impacting the economy, travel industry, and public health around the world.

St. Cloud State University is closely monitoring the recent outbreak of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in China.
