Hello Huskies,
I hope this message finds you well and you are ready for classes to resume on Monday. St. Cloud State University remains fully committed to doing everything we can to make sure you are able to continue making positive progress toward graduation despite the constantly changing landscape caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. There are three important issues we wanted to bring to your immediate attention.
1. Grading
You may have heard that some universities around the country are switching from a letter grade approach to a pass/fail approach. We know that pass/fail grading has both positive and negative impacts on students depending on their discipline of study and their plans after graduation. Before we make a decision about changing the way your courses are graded, we want to fully understand the possible impacts such a decision may have on your academic future. We will have a university decision and process in place by next Friday, April 3.
2. Online and alternative learning support
We know that some of you will be learning via a remote format for the first time. Here are some resources and tips to help with transiting to a new learning environment.

3. We Want to Know
We want to know if there is something that’s keeping you from participating in your courses and staying on track. Reach out to us – we are here to help.
Good luck on your first day back on Monday and please stay safe and healthy.
Sincerely,
Robbyn R. Wacker, President
