Four students put their work study time to help a good cause March 30 when they headed over to the Boys & Girls Club to help pack lunches for St. Cloud children.

Kevin Thakadiyel, Nathan Haile, Tilak Bhatta and Vikash Makhjia helped to pack the lunches. The students usually work in Atwood Memorial Center, but have had their hours reduced due to decreased hours the building is open currently. They were able to use work hours to help the community and were happy to help when Atwood sought volunteers, said Matt Trombley, Atwood Memorial Center associate director.

With the students’ help, The Boys & Girls Club of Central Minnesota’s meal distribution program were able to put together 432 super-size snacks and dinners for area youths for a total of 864 meals.
