Running Club hosted the Husky Indoor Meet, its first annual Indoor Club Track Invitational March 20 in the Halenbeck Hall Fieldhouse.
The club hosted three college running clubs at the event, including the University of Illinois, Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota.
The women’s running club placed first, and the men’s running club had many personal records and season bests.
“The SCSU Running Club had to put 101% into this event,” said Calvin Diggs, Campus Recreation director. “They did everything they could to make sure they followed safety protocols due to COVID.”
The Running Club is for both casual and competitive runners. Anyone is welcome to join.
“This is the first sport club event we’ve hosted at St. Cloud State in a long time,” said Delaydia Frink, coordinator for competitive sports. “Hosting these sport club events helps us engage with students on other campuses.”
