The St. Cloud State University Accounting department held its annual Meet the Firms event virtually this September.
The event brought together students at all levels of the Accounting program to meet with potential employers in a risk-free environment with a total focus on learning about the profession. In all 232 students and 21 firms participated in the event, which featured both group and one-on-one sessions.
Usually held in person, the event was held virtually due to COVID-19. When the event is held in person, firms are charged a small fee to support the event with the proceeds going to support students. In the past the Accounting department has used the funds to purchase all new Accounting majors a financial calculator.
