Former St. Cloud State University Student Government President Surkhel Yousafzai ’21 is serving as a Dubai Business Associate this fall.
The program combines business hard skills, soft skills, consulting skill and practical work experience over nine months in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The program combines academic learning modules and hands-on placements.
Throughout the program, associates attend master classes with industry leaders and CEOS, gain skills development training and attend cultural events. They are assigned career and life coaches and learn about Dubai as a place of business. Yousafzai was selected for completing his internship placement with the Executive Council of the Government of Dubai.
He is also partnering with St. Cloud State faculty Dr. Kathy Johnson and Dr. Amy Knopf on the U.N. International Day for Persons with Disabilities in the U.S. Pavilion on Dec. 3 at the Dubai Expo where he is moderating the “Youth with Disabilities Forum.”
Yousafzai graduated in May with a dual major in Political Science and International Relations.
