St. Cloud State University’s Spring 2022 Commencement is May 6.
St. Cloud State will celebrate commencement for about 1,000 students out of almost 1,300 total graduates in a series of six Commencement ceremonies throughout the day.
Graduates come from 25 U.S. states and 47 countries. Participating in the commencement ceremonies are 34 associate degree earners, 886 bachelor’s degree earners and 366 graduate students.
Graduates earning Honors cords include 119 earning Summa Cum Laude, 152 earning Magna Cum Laude and 152 earning Cum Laude.
Ceremonies are being held in Ritsche Auditorium in Stewart Hall and livestreamed at our Commencement website:
- 9 a.m. Herberger Business School
- 11 a.m. College of Liberal Arts and School of the Arts
- 1 p.m. College of Science and Engineering and School of Computing, Engineering and Environment
- 3 p.m. School of Public Affairs
- 5 p.m. College of Health and Wellness Professions
- 7 p.m. College of Education and Learning Design and University College
President Robbyn Wacker, Vice President Jason Woods and Provost Dan Gregory are among the faculty and staff who assisted with the ceremonies and celebration of graduates. Student Government President Milan Raj Paswan will assist with the ceremonies.
Economics major and 2022 graduate Hannah Mayhew will give the student address at the first four ceremonies from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Master of Social Work graduate Gabriela Nelson will give the student address at the 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. ceremonies. Christy (Hovanetz) Sandberg ’98 will share alumni remarks.

Will the masters program hooding ceremony be available online?
The hooding ceremonies are not live streamed. Only the Commencement ceremonies.
