St. Cloud State University celebrated Fall 2022 graduates during five commencement ceremonies on Dec. 16.
About 600 students out of almost 900 total graduates participated in Commencement ceremonies throughout the day. Participating in the Commencement ceremonies were 77 associate degree earners, 599 bachelor’s degree earners, 191 graduate students and four doctoral students.
Graduates earning Honors cords include 94 earning Summa Cum Laude, 89 earning Magna Cum Laude and 97 earning Cum Laude.
Ceremonies were held in Ritsche Auditorium in Stewart Hall and livestreamed at our Commencement website.
President Robbyn Wacker, Vice President Jason Woods and Interim Associate Provost Ajay Panicker were among the faculty and staff assisting with the ceremonies and celebration of graduates. Student Government President Arslan Malik also assisted with the ceremonies.
“I see a graduating class from different walks of life and identities who semester after semester, day after day, successfully faced the unknown and unexpected,” President Wacker said. “Even though your time at St. Cloud State is finished, I know you will continue to adapt and to live into your greatness.”
Student addresses were made by Music major Cassidy Ng, Spanish and Math Education major Ana Panek and Finance major Emma Thoms-Warzecha. Alumni Association President Diane Moeller ’77, ’82 shared remarks on behalf of the Alumni Association.
“It is our mission as an institution … to see you through graduation,” Vice President Woods said. “Our greatest sense of accomplishment in completing this mission is seeing the bright smiles of our proud graduate Huskies with their loved ones.”
