Davidson (Dave) Blanchard has been appointed as Director of Online and Distance Learning (SCSU Online) in Academic Affairs following a competitive nationwide search that attracted a talented pool of applicants.
A longtime Husky, Dave is very familiar to the campus community, having previously served as Interim Director of SCSU Online and a faculty member in the Department of Teacher Development. Dave combines his expertise in instructional design, learning theory, and educational technologies/LMS platforms with a focus on improving students’ learning experiences to support the professional development of faculty and staff in instructional design practice.
He is committed to the advancement of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility in his work. Dave is focused on continuing the work of building SCSU Online as a strong team of instructional design experts and lead pedagogical innovation within our University.
Dave earned his Master’s degree in Information Media in 2017 and Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education in 2010 from St. Cloud State University. He is currently pursuing a Doctoral degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Winona State University.
