Members of the St. Cloud State University Career Center Employer Advisory Council enjoyed an interactive introduction to the University’s new cutting-edge esports facilities in September.
The council is comprised of 18 members representing organizations who actively collaborate with the Career Center to support student career development and who are committed to hiring Huskies. Members meet twice a year, in spring and fall semesters, and these visits prove instrumental in cementing a strong connection between SCSU and the organizations that employ students and graduates.
Through this partnership, employers gain invaluable networking opportunities and access to a talent pool of well-prepared interns and potential employees. In return, faculty and staff enhance their capacity to support students by gaining a deeper understanding of industry insights and current employer demands. This collaborative effort ultimately empowers students with increased opportunities and equips them with the education and resources needed to be well-prepared to seize those opportunities.
This visit to the esports facilities marked a pivotal moment in SCSU’s ongoing commitment to enriching students’ educational experiences and advancing their career prospects through close engagement with the esports industry.
