Winners of the 2023 Miller Center Student Art Show were announced Nov. 16 on the first floor of the James W. Miller Learning Resource Center at St. Cloud State University, with Aiden Spiess taking first place for her piece “Time?”
The Student Art Show, sponsored by the St. Cloud State Library and the Art Student Union, showcases juried student art and provides interested students the opportunity to organize, advertise and put on an art show.
The show began in 2016 as an opportunity for more students, whether they were art majors or not, to have their art displayed. The event returned in 2022 after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Along with Spiess being named the winner, Cassidy McGaughey (“The Kiss” ) and Bryan Gratz (“Futile Movements Against the Unrelenting Oblivion” ) were awarded honorable mention.
The winners’ art will be on display in Miller Center from through the first week of spring semester in January.
