St. Cloud State University’s Multicultural Student Services will present the 15th annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference on Jan. 25-27.
In partnership with LeadMN, the Minnesota State Office of Equity and Inclusion, and Minnesota State institutions, the 2024 Power in Diversity Leadership Conference will feature the theme “Inclusive Innovation,” which will center the transformational impact diversity brings to an organization’s creativity, adaptability, responsiveness, prosperity and innovation.
This year’s conference is proudly sponsored by Granite Partners and Granite Companies. The Granite Companies comprise a strong and diversified portfolio with plans to grow long-term. Across the next decade and beyond, Granite Companies will add platform companies as retiring entrepreneurs — current owners of Minnesota companies — choose Granite as the long-term, majority owner and steward of their legacy.
Participants will earn a digital Leadership Badge upon completion of the Power in Diversity Leadership Conference and there will be an additional opportunity to earn the Interpersonal EQ badge. Digital badging is a powerful tool to display skills and competencies earned by individuals.
The conference will offer workshops and trainings for attendees to develop the critical skills necessary to engage in numerous types of social justice work, develop their activism, enhance community organizing skills, integrate self-care and practice personal reflection. Participants will also expand their network by connecting with local and regional community organizations.
As part of the conference, it has been the tradition to partner with SCSU’s Career Center and School of Graduate Studies to offer the Diversity Job and Internship Fair and Graduate School Fair, which will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Jan. 26 for conference participants and SCSU students.
