St. Cloud State University welcomed incoming undergraduate students to campus for the start of spring semester during Huskies First Four on Jan. 6-7.
Huskies First Four is a unique experience that annually serves as a welcome and orientation to SCSU for new incoming students before the start of fall and spring semesters.
Throughout Huskies First Four, students had the chance to pick up materials for class and venture around campus to find their classrooms in preparation for their first semester as a Husky. Students were able to take part in numerous events and gatherings while starting to explore what life is like at SCSU.
Upon their arrival to SCSU on Jan. 6, new incoming students moved into their residential halls before taking part in a Welcome to the Pack Celebration, event rotations and Huskies Stories throughout the day. In the evening, students enjoyed a wide range of activities in the Atwood Memorial Center during Atwood After Dark.
Activities resumed Jan. 7 with New Huskies Convocation followed by a class photo and lunch hosted by SCSU President Robbyn Wacker, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Abbey Zink and Vice President for Strategic Enrollment Management Jason Woods. The weekend concluded with campus quests to learn how to navigate campus, dinner with students’ Husky Pack Leaders, residential community gatherings and more.
Huskies First Events will continue throughout the First Four Weeks and the First Four Months to help all SCSU students prepare for a successful semester to conclude the 2023-24 academic school year.
