What to know about SCSU’s president search

St. Cloud State University’s national search for its next president is underway, and applications and nominations are now being accepted.

Minnesota State Chancellor Scott Olson is expected to make his recommendation on SCSU’s 26th president at the Nov. 19 Board of Trustees meeting.

SCSU is being assisted in the search by Greenwood Asher & Associates, who specializes in recruiting and retaining higher education talent.

Winona State President Dr. Kenneth Janz is serving as chair of the presidential search committee. Finalists will be invited to campus in early November.

Interim President Larry Dietz announced on July 9 he would be ending his two-year term early to attend to ongoing family health challenges.
