Exceptional service and commitment to international education are the cornerstones of the everyday work of Nichole Pazdernik.
St. Cloud State University’s Director of International Recruitment, Admissions and Education Abroad has been awarded the Friend of the Region Award from the National Association of Foreign Student Advisers (NAFSA).
“I am honored to be part of the work and will continue to work hard to ensure St. Cloud State is in the forefront of international activities,” Pazdernik said.
The Friend of the Region award recognizes individuals who helped further international educational exchange, demonstrated a commitment to promoting global understanding and providing international educational exchange in their local community.
Pazdernik’s efforts include co-planning the 2014 Regional Conference in St. Paul, encouraging and mentoring new professionals in the field of international education, as well as being a founding member of Study Minnesota, a consortia of Minnesota institutions to promote Minnesota as a study destination.
“Nichole has helped lead a team of St. Cloud State faculty and staff to increase awareness and understanding of our extensive education abroad options,” said Shahzad Ahmad, director of Multicultural Student Services at St. Cloud State. “The university’s global image and reputation will be elevated due to Nichole’s recognition.”
