St. Cloud State University is launching the Huskies Scholars Program, which will fully cover tuition and fees for up to four years for 75 Minnesota high school students.
The Huskies Scholars Program is eligible for in-state students graduating high school in 2027 with a 3.5 GPA or higher, and who plan to enter St. Cloud State as a new first year student in Fall 2027.
“Affordability is a top priority for students, and this program is an incredible opportunity for them to get a great education without worrying about costs,” said SCSU President Dr. Gregory Tomso. “Students can get through school debt-free while making connections that will help them land a great job in the future.”
A Husky Scholar will be directly admitted to SCSU’s Honors College, and they will also get priority registration for classes.
“We’re excited to offer larger scholarships for students and reward them for their academic achievements,” said Dr. Maria Wright, associate vice president of enrollment management. “This can help ensure that SCSU remains a first-choice destination in Minnesota.”
Students need to complete their admission application to SCSU by Nov. 1 to be eligible.
Dec. 1 is the deadline to submit an official high school transcript and complete an admission essay and Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
