St. Cloud Times — No need to panic, Central Minnesota. The dozens of robots descending on River’s Edge Convention Center this weekend will be under control.
Sure, more than 400 students will be doing the maneuvering. But they will be moving machines with good-natured competition in mind — no Decepticons in sight.
On Saturday, the convention center will simultaneously host the high school event and the largest VEX U regional qualifier in the country. Seven regional teams are set to join two each from SCTCC and St. Cloud State University in trying to earn tickets to the world championship, which is a prize for younger teams, too.
