KNSI – Friends, colleagues and community leaders remember St. Cloud State University President Earl H. Potter III, at a press conference on campus Tuesday.
University officials say Potter died in a single car rollover crash on Highway 694 in Brooklyn Center around 5:30 Monday night, as he was travelling to Minneapolis for university business.
“Potter was definitely here for the students, he wasn’t just administrative, he was caring and always reached out to make those relationships with students,” said SCSU Student Government President Mikaela Johnson.
Currenltly St. Cloud State’s Provost Ashish Vaidya is the university’s acting president.
“As we grieve his death, let us all come together as a community to share and strengthen the legacy he leaves behind at St. Cloud State,” said Vaidya.
