St. Cloud State University has submitted the application for Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education (CAEIAE) to the National Security Agency (NSA) on Jan. 15.
The NSA and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) jointly sponsor CAEIAE programs. The goal of these programs is to reduce vulnerability in our national information infrastructure by promoting higher education and research in IA and producing a growing number of professionals with IA expertise in various disciplines.
Four-year colleges and graduate-level universities are eligible to apply to be designated as a National Center of Academic Excellence in IA Education. Each applicant is required to pass a rigorous review and demonstrate its commitment to academic excellence in IA education. During the application process, applicants are evaluated against stringent criteria.
The completion of the CAEIAE application has been truly a team effort by several people. We are eagerly looking forward to hearing from the NSA in the near future.
