JOURNAL SENTINEL — For Choo Ng, it all started with a kidney donation.
The Grill Junkies owner and Malaysia native first became interested in the restaurant business through changes in his own diet after giving up one of his kidneys to his mother.
“She lost both of her kidneys to diabetes. I donated a kidney to her, and then I started eating a lot healthier. I lost 30 pounds without even trying, just from eating slightly healthier,” Ng said. “I had no restaurant experience, just a passion for good food.”
