DULUTH NEWS TRIBUNE — Journalist Mick Hatten of Forum Communications Co. earned the second annual NCHC media excellence award during the conference’s year-end banquet Thursday, March 21, in St. Paul.
Hatten is sports editor for Forum Communications. Hatten has been heavily involved in developing The Rink Live, which combines written and multimedia features covering college and high school hockey across Minnesota and North Dakota. He continues to cover St. Cloud State hockey, while serving as The Rink Live’s primary host for interview shows at hockey tournaments and events.
Prior to joining Forum Communications in November 2018, Hatten worked for the St. Cloud Times and covered the Huskies hockey team for many years. He’s won numerous journalism awards and wrote two e-books on St. Cloud State hockey.
