Dr. Brad Chisholm shares a video with his students updating them on what his classes will look like in fall.
St. Cloud State University is preparing to welcome students back to classes this fall with plans for offering classes that include in-person, online and blended options.
Dr. Brad Chisholm took those notifications one step further this July when he recorded a video update for the students in his film studies courses.
“There’s been a lot of confusion and mystery … about what campus life is going to look like in fall,” he said in the video. “I’m starting to get clarity on that, and I just want to share with you what to expect if you are in one of my classes.”
Chisholm recorded the video to help give his students an idea of what classes will look like when students return to campus in fall in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
He explained plans for his courses, which include recorded lectures, in-person film screenings and discussions, and assignments posted and submitted through D2L.
While Chisholm’s lectures will be pre-recorded, he assured his students that he has plans to jazz them up a bit to keep them interesting.
“I think learning and teaching … should be fun,” he said. “I love coming to work and I love what I get to teach and I want to make the classroom experience great.”
