Art vendors, food stands, children’s activities and musical acts are back as part of the Lemonade Art Fair 11 a.m.-7:30 p.m. June 24 at St. Cloud State University.
Lemonade Art Fair is an annual tradition at St. Cloud State and the start to St. Cloud’s Granite City Days festival. The event was on hiatus last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it is back in full scale this June with 140 vendors spread throughout campus. This year the art fair is welcoming back many long-time vendors and 43 new vendors who have never before showcased at the Lemonade Art Fair.
The Granite City Days Opening Ceremonies will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Husky Stadium and feature the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra and the Fabulous Armadillos and special guest singers. With the move to the stadium, the space between Atwood Memorial Center and Stewart Hall will now be a feature area for the Farmer’s Market and artisan vendors.
“We are excited the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair is back,” said Tommy Balicky, Lemonade Concert and Art Fair co-organizer. “We’re happy to welcome back our vendors who want to come back and participate in this long-standing event.”
New to the art fair this year is the Great River Children’s Museum, which is offering a variety of demonstrations and activities geared toward children.
The Little Lemons Art Park will offer children art projects, craft projects, performance art and more. Paramount Arts District staff members will coordinate activities 11 a.m.-6 p.m., south of Stewart Hall.
The Lemonade Concert and Art Fair is managed by the Department of Campus Involvement, with sponsorship from the Central Minnesota Arts Board, via the state Arts & Cultural Heritage Fund.
