Registration is now open for St. Cloud State Esports Immersion Camps for high school students interested in gaming and how to run an Esports broadcast. The camps are June 13-14 and June 15-16 on the campus of St. Cloud State University.
Only 30 spots are open for students at each camp, so campers are encouraged to register early to reserve their spot.
Esports Immersion Camp is a day camp for students entering grades 9-12 and St. Cloud State students who are interested in exploring Esports careers.
St. Cloud State is partnering with ShiftUp Esports to give participants a hands-on experience that will take them through every aspect of what it takes to produce and play their very own livestreams and professionally shoutcasted Esports tournament.
The experts leading the camp have produced some of the biggest Midwest tournaments, developed some of the top collegiate Esports programs in the country, worked with the biggest influencers in the industry, and served as on-air talent to millions of viewers on Riot Games’ LCS broadcast.
By the end of the camp, students will be introduced to new career paths and learn valuable skills from current industry professionals and guest speakers including leadership and communications, Twitch livestreaming/broadcasting, video production, editing and shoutcasting.
The primary games played during the camps will be League of Legends and Rocket League with each participant being designated a personal high-end PC workstation to use throughout the camp. The cost is $349 per participant.
