A new exhibit “In the Garden With You” by Diana Behl is open in the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus.
The exhibit runs through March 30 and features two-dimensional work that ranges from small, poetic abstractions to elaborate hanging of serialized imagery. Poetic and colorful, Behl has published in her accompanying ‘zine:
“This is an intergenerational story
We learn from each other
Who we were
Who we are and aspire to be
In the rose aisle when your backyard returned…”
“In the Garden With You” is a bright, hopeful and elegant play where we encounter nature and all of her joy. It is a light and meditative space.
Behl received her BFA from Bowling Green State University and her MFA in printmaking from the University of Iowa. She is a faculty member in the School of Design at South Dakota State University. Behl has received grants from the Bush and Griffith foundations, as well as the South Dakota Arts Council. She has exhibited widely across the United States and Canada.
The Kiehle Gallery is located in the Kiehle Visual Arts Center on the campus of St. Cloud State. The gallery hours are 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
