Dr. Akalanka Mailewa, Dr. Lynn Collen and six Masters of Information Assurance students attended the 22nd Annual Security Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 9-10.
The conference annually provides a forum for discourses in security, assurance and privacy that enhances the understanding of current events, buy also nurture future dialogues related to cybersecurity. The conference welcomes PhD and advanced students who want to present their research ideas and get some feedback, and is known for its attendance by law enforcement and federal agencies.
The following three presentations were given by SCSU at the conference:
- Samantha Collen, Bert Noble, and Craig Overboe, St. Cloud State University, USA “Risks, Privacy and Responsibility of Social Media use in the Workplace: a Review”
- Nidika Bandara, Larissa Marques, and Mawuli Martey, St. Cloud State University, USA “Analysis of Recent Randsomware Attacks and Preventable Measures”
- Anita Adhikaria and Rishab Sharma, St. Cloud State University, USA “Recent Advances of Security in IoT: a Survey”
The presentations were well received by industry professionals and conference attendees.
