Audience members were invited to sit on stage during the St. Cloud State Percussion Collective and Collaborative Chamber Ensemble’s “Music in the Round” April 14 in Ritsche Auditorium in Stewart Hall.
In an effort to break down the barriers between performers and audience, audience members were invited to sit on stage surrounding the performers to see, hear and feel the music in an intimate environment.
The program featured music from the Percussion Ensemble, iPad Ensemble and the new Collaborative Chamber Ensemble. The night’s highlight was a performance of Terry Riley’s “In C” featuring students in the Chamber Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble and Percussion along with several music alumni.
