Central Minnesota’s breakfast and day of service honoring the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. will feature remarks by author and journalist Wil Haygood and an on-site service project.
The marathon’s theme is “Trivia University,” a nod to our Sesquicentennial celebration of 150 years as a school.
Among the more than 575 participants will be Nahida Haq Nworen, who will deliver the student address.
Students hope a crowdingfunding campaign, combined with an anonymous matching donation, will help purchase $10,000 in furniture and equipment for the Veterans Resource Center (VRC).

For every $1 in state appropriation, the Minnesota State system generates nearly $12 in economic activity, according to the study.
