Historic season paves a bright future for SCSU Women’s Soccer

In 2023, the St. Cloud State University Women’s Soccer program continued its journey of improvement to reach new heights. A wave of fresh recruits and committed returners cemented a championship standard for the team. The Huskies broke records, set new standards and put together the best season in program history. 

The historic 2023 season generates excitement for 2024 and beyond, as the team turns their focus to welcoming the next wave of recruits. The defending NSIC champions are ready to build off their success.

In an attempt to assist student-athletes in building their personal brands, SCSU announced ahead of the 2023-24 season a partnership with Opendorse, the industry leader in NIL. The partnership includes the Huskies Marketplace, which serves as SCSU’s official NIL marketplace for student-athletes.

This new and accessible platform offers Huskies fans, brands and sponsors a single, streamlined platform to easily find, pitch, book and compensate SCSU student- athletes for their NIL services.

SCSU hosts 15th annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference

St. Cloud State University’s Multicultural Student Services, along with LeadMN, Minnesota State Office of Equity and Inclusion, and Minnesota State institutions, presented the 15th annual Power in Diversity Leadership Conference on Jan. 25-27 at SCSU.

The 2024 Power in Diversity Leadership Conference featured the theme “Inclusive Innovation,” which centered the transformational impact diversity brings to an organization’s creativity, adaptability, responsiveness, prosperity and innovation.

SCSU students interact with Minnesota’s largest employers during 2024 Diversity Job and Internship Fair

St. Cloud State University students connected and interacted with over 130 of Minnesota’s largest employers on Jan. 26 during the 2024 Diversity Job and Internship Fair held throughout the first and second floors of the Atwood Memorial Center.

Students had the ability to meet with some of the state’s largest business, technical, healthcare, government, non-profit and education employers.

SCSU’s Department of Music to host MN Made New Music Festival

St. Cloud State University’s Department of Music is hosting the MN Made New Music Festival on Jan. 25-26 in the Performing Arts Center on campus. The two-day festival is free and open to the public.

This year’s ensemble-in-residence is 113, a collection of composers and performers of new music based in the Twin Cities that curates concerts, seminars, workshops and more throughout the United States.
