The Department of Atmospheric and Hydrological Sciences (AHS) and its student chapter of the American Meteorological Society will be hosting an all-campus/all-community Skywarn Training Session on March 26 from 5-8 p.m. in Wick Science Building Room 114.

Attendees will be trained how to observe storms safely and responsibly, as well as how to submit reports to the National Weather Service. All are invited to attend, and attendees (aged 16 years and older) will be certified Spotters for the National Weather Service at the completion of their training.

SCSU Library aids project to preserve 500,000 books for future generations

The St. Cloud State University Library is one of 24 academic libraries from across Minnesota working together to ensure that nearly half a million scarcely-held books will remain available to Minnesotans for the foreseeable future.

The Minnesota Shared Print Program is a collaborative effort to preserve valuable research and literary resources, and it offers many benefits to Minnesotans.

Bill Meissner, a St. Cloud State University faculty emeritus in the Department of English, recently published a new novel titled “The Wonders Of The Little World”. It is Meissner’s third novel and 12th book overall.

Students will get industry experience at Huskies Hack

Immersion Data Solutions (IDS) will be hosting Huskies Hack from Feb. 16-18 in ISELF, giving students the opportunity to get hands-on experience solving a real industry problem.

Huskies Hack is a 48-hour hackathon where students will team up to address four real challenges from IDS. At the end of the event, student teams will deliver a report and presentation outlining their proposal to address the challenge.

St. Cloud Community and Technical College (SCTCC) was recently designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD.)
