A new exhibit “Crystal Hinge” opens Oct. 2 in the Kiehle Gallery on the St. Cloud State University campus.
The exhibit runs through Oct. 26 and is the first solo exhibition by emerging artist Lisa Kill. Kill’s work is interdisciplinary and found objects and papers are subjected to inks, washes, stains, solvents, salts and household chemicals.

ACE is a national initiative aimed at revitalizing U.S. manufacturing, and SCSU was chosen along with the University of St. Thomas to provide essential training in manufacturing across the state. ACE now has regional machine tool training centers in nine states, providing free online and in-person training for the machine tool industry.
SCSU will use a 53-foot semi-trailer as their mobile training center, ideal for reaching rural communities throughout Minnesota.
Utilizing St. Cloud State University’s state-of-the-art clean room in the Integrated Science and Engineering Laboratory Facility (ISELF), Professor Emeritus Dr. John Harlander is working on an independent project that is an extension of the Ionospheric Connection (ICON) NASA satellite project that he previously worked on.
Dr. Harlander is using ISELF’s clean room to test a next-generation instrument that is intended to orbit the Earth while monitoring upper atmospheric winds. This new instrument, the Interferometer for Neutral Dynamics (INDI), is a follow-on to the ICON satellite mission.
St. Cloud State University welcomed Minnesota Secretary of State Steve Simon to campus on Sept. 18 to speak to students, faculty, staff and the community about the importance of voting and being civically involved within the state of Minnesota.
Secretary Simon presented to campus about why people should vote, how they can register to vote and what the process is to vote while engaging young voters and expressing to everyone the importance of having their voice heard.
