UTVS, KVSC student media earn national awards
Husky Productions students Elizabeth Burda, Patrick Crooks, Brittany Rooney and Matt Bohach will accept a Best of Festival award at a national convention April 13 in Las Vegas. Michael Skovera, biomedical sciences major, proposed to Kayla Huberty at center ice during Late Skate, sponsored by the University Program Board in the Herb Brooks National Hockey Center on Valentine’s Day — and she said yes. The couple met in high school, but didn’t start dating until April 2012 shortly after Skovera joined the Army

Students stage ‘Skin of Our Teeth’
Theater students have taken inspiration from the 1950s TV era in their production of Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize winning play “The Skin of Our Teeth.” The play premieres at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 on the Performing Arts Center Stage, with performances running through March 1.
